Our exclusive dunk!records variant is available only through our webshop and it's a gorgeous fade + splatter vinyl. We wanted to replicate a broken ice sheet, imagining a rock smashing the ice right where the centre label sits and the "shockwaves" spreading through the surface of the vinyl as if on frozen water. The final effect is purposely very subtle and therefore, very difficult to render in its full glory in picture, but we guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised in person!

The perfect synthesis of 3 years of work and an ever more apparent inclination towards a barefaced, riff-led take on composition, the new album by Romanian wizards AFLMSMP is a triumphant record! Born out of an irresistible strive to expand on the more progressive aspects of their sound, and a inescaple draw towards more "stoner" and overall heavier sonic aspects, I Went To The Mountain reaches new dizzying heights of compositional grandeur!

From the band: 

"I WENT TO THE MOUNTAIN is the born out of and is the sublimation of all the different stylistic paths we could have taken after the release of La Vale, in 2022. An old desire to expand on the more progressive aspects of our sound reemerged in the early stages of songwriting of this new album. As the process went on, the material revealed an ever more discernible stylistic tendency towards post-metal, as well as the integration of stoner elements.

To reach the final shape of this album, several records’ worth of material was scrapped during a gruelling selection process, as we continued to push ourselves to reach a musical form perceived as exerting a power of its own. We try to be defiant in our conviction that there is yet more experimental rock and metal to be written and performed, and strive to deliver a hard-hitting and articulate iteration thereof. To like this kind of music, one has to love it - the same applies to playing it. This album is a tribute to all of our favourite bands, who inspired us to step out from the crowd and onto the stage."
