After seven years of silence following their last EP and four years of dormancy, Tokyo-base.d post-black metal/blackgaze band Pale returns with the audacious full-length .debut „Our Hearts In Your Heaven“. Re-emerging in 2023 with a refreshed lineup, the band has delivered a complex, emotionally resonant album that blurs genre lines while staying grounded in the ethereal chaos of blackgaze. What emerges is a sound that is both punishing and tender, cerebral and visceral.

From the opening notes of “Euphoria,” Pale makes it clear they are notcontent with standard blackgaze tropes. The textures buzz and oscillate with intensity, suggesting influence not just from black metal or shoegaze, but from progressive music, noise, and even NWOBHM-inspired grooves.
