Immanu El is one of Sweden’s most established post-rock bands. Formed in 2004, the band has played over 400 shows in more than 30 countries, earning an international reputation for emotionally intense live performances and a deeply immersive sound.

The new album “Woven Light” marks a reflective chapter in the band’s long journey. In many ways, it reconnects with the more classic post-rock sound that first brought Immanu El international attention, while remaining unmistakably shaped by years of growth and exploration. Expansive compositions and slow-building dynamics are driven by a strong melodic core, allowing the music to unfold with patience and emotional depth.

Immanu El moves seamlessly between the intimate and the explosive, the instrumental and the vocal. The lyrics are deeply existential, exploring fundamental questions of life, purpose and transcendence. These themes add a stark emotional gravity to the band’s richly layered soundscapes.

Now based between Stockholm and Gothenburg, Immanu El continues to refine and expand their expression. “Woven Light” is both a return and a progression: an album that weaves together past and present into a cohesive, luminous whole.
