Four years after "Alternate Endings", Stories From The Lost return with an even darker, heavier and bleaker album, one that fully channels the band's atmospheric and progressive elements and perfectly captures a mood, a state, we more often than not find ourselves in. Grim times ahead seems to be the film this album aims to score, in 40 minutes of tortuous, long-winding, bludgeoning atmospherics and trance-inducing lyricism. This is post-sludge at its very best, and a dark epic tale of suffering and redemption.
