BIO

Terraformer is a post-metal band from Belgium. Formed in 2009, this veteran instrumental outfit meshes heavy riffs, twisted time signatures, and ambient melodies to form their carefully crafted soundscape.

La Chute, the band's latest record, was thought as two long tracks with different movements, coming back to something more aerial after our previous album. 

Organic textures built upon field recordings take you through this long fall from one movement to the other, from lush atmospheres to brutality and back.

Each side has its own mood, and we had a vocal guest in the person of Vincent Dessard from Lethvm/Graave, throwing vocals sparingly on both sides.

A sister instrumental version will be available digitally.

Releasing their Self-Titled EP (2010), the band quickly began forming a loyal fan base through their powerful lives shows and signed to Dunk! Records. Terraformer went on to release 4 full-length albums, The Sea Shaper (2012), Creatures (2014), Mineral (2017) and Rebirth (2022). With each release, the trio and then quintet continued to shape, refine, and evolve its sound, increasing their notoriety along the way with tours across Europe.

After releasing one album with vocals in 2022 (Rebirth), the release of Presence, a 3-track EP, in November 2023 marks the first step of a new chapter. The band is back to its basics in the form of an instrumental post-metal quartet.

In early 2025, an instrumental version of Rebirth was released while waiting for the release of a brand new LP, La Chute.
